A Note From Marjut

As we get ready to move our clocks forward, there are so many welcome events and activities to keep us busy as we enjoy the longer days and warmer weather.

We're keeping this bulletin focused on reminders of all the amazing activities taking place in the month ahead and hope that you can join us whether in person or via zoom!

As always, our goal within the PTA is to keep you informed on PMHS and community events that aim to engage students and families. We're all in this together!

Our Next Meeting
Support your Students and Partner with The PTA - Your Kids Need You and We Do Too!

Let the Nominating Committee know!

Do you have ideas for PMHS PTA programming or feel there's an area where we can do more? Do you have skills, or interests to share that can enhance our students experiences?

We need your voice, your energy, and your support whether it's for one hour, one event, once a month, or one year!

Helping the PTA and our school is a great way to connect with and meet caring and committed people.

I want to know more about open positions and how I can volunteer with PTA.

  • 9:00-9:40AM Self-Awareness - The Impact of Perceptions
This is not a lecture. Rather, it is an interactive, stylized, entertaining, and easy-to-understand presentation. They talk about the impact of their IRL and online behaviors and why they may accept or exclude others. Our health professionals and other experts in the field engage the audience and demystify science while teaching valuable problem solving and coping skills.
  • 9:45-11:00AM Anxiety - Manage Anxiety and Build Resilience
An open discussion that defines anxiety, teaches youth to recognize and manage anxiety, and change harmful thoughts. Our expert moderators present valuable information and easily explain how anxiety affects the brain and its development. We show them how to maximize brain health and balance their inner voice. We engage the audience in open dialogue and correct myths surrounding anxiety.
  • 11:00-11:45AM Binge Drinking Awareness
An open discussion moderated by a registered nurse, or other health care provider, correcting myths and providing facts about alcohol consumption and toxicity. (For example, many traditional remedies like drinking coffee or “sleeping it off” could prove fatal to victims of alcohol poisoning!)

More information on the presentations can be found on the Project Community Website
